    A little body work

Tonight I slid the roll bar down to get ready for some paint in the hard to get places. Sanding the outside makes the inside hot so if I painted first it might burn. I don’t really know how to do bodywork and I’m a little concerned I’ve sanded too much in some areas, but everything is slightly below flush yet close. Still need to do the front, but there’s a bunch more room up there when the roll bar is in.

    Testing the new wheels

Final checks on the new rear axle today. It was a huge success, praise God, although I found the hub bore on the wheels are slightly smaller than the brake drum’s. It should be easy to fit a short spacer or have a small step machined in the axle hub. Everything else checked out and I took the axle shaft final measurements but don’t trust myself to order them. I’ll wait for Levi to double check this weekend. Custom axles can’t be returned.

The front tires got bolted on too. I want to check tire clearance around the headers and turbo, but forgot I had installed stock springs on the front. We’ll need to drop the front 4″ to get a better idea. I know some of you like the front high stance, but don’t expect it to last!
